My beading hobby has been my saving grace right now since my dear 85 year-old MIL#2 fell four weeks ago . . . I was able to take it to the hospital with me while she was there for 10 days and then to the assisted living home to visit with her while she is recuperating from complications of the fall . .
I've also been able to spend more time with dh#2 in the family room watching TV together while I bead . . . it's time that we can spend being supportive of each other especially right now . . .
These beaded cards are projects from my beading class with Sylvia Valle at the Rancho Santa Margarita Community Center where she teaches Adult Education classes . . . the beading has been so therapeutic during the family illness . . . I am so fortunate to have found this additional hobby!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

Those cards are beautiful. I've done some embroidery on cards and used beads but these are gorgeous. Are the patterns available somewhere?

Michi....those cards are beautiful! Hope things get better for you soon.
These are beautiful Michi and lovely designs. I do stitching on card with some beading but haven't done them where it is mostly beads. To echo Lisa W. are the patterns available somewhere. I really like the flower design.
Hi michi rhymes with peachy,
it's hanneke (as in "happy hanneke") from class. You already finished all the cards; I'm impressed! They came out beautiful! I should get myself some of those paper cut thingies because that really finishes off the way the whole piece looks.
You are such a fun lady and I feel lucky to have met you! Did you do some shopping at the outrageously chique places I suggested? LOL
MIchi, your beaded cards are simply beautiful! Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law, but know that you are providing her the best care and companionship you can. xoxo

As always Michi, your art is beautiful! I love the beaded cards you've done - I'm drowning in beads and never thought to use them like you have. Sounds like a great class - I'm so glad you shared!
